Aloe Vera, a plant of various beneficial effects. Use it, feel it, have it.

Aloe vera plants are the members of lily plants and look like cactus and are described as succulents. The ancient Egyptians were the first people who use aloe vera to heal the wounds. Aloe vera is used in various pharmaceutical products and widely used as herbal medicine. Anyone can see a mucilaginous substance which involves water, fibers and other useful ingredients that helps in retaining the water in the leaf when the green skin of the leaf is removed. The special qualities are given to the gel containing all these ingredients and became famous since many centuries. The aloe vera gel is used mainly to heal wounds. These plants are also grown by many people in their houses as houseplants especially in hot climates. The leaves of aloe vera are used in all types of healing wounds and give various benefits.

The gel is extracted from aloe vera plant is used as a first aid for sunburns, eczema, burns, insect bites, wounds and to treat fungal infections. Aloe vera acts as an antifungal and is a very good medicine for healing acne, athletes foot, mouth sores and tonsillitis. It has white crystalline oxidation product, stimulates cell regeneration and provides healing properties.

After sunburn, one should immediately take a shower or bath and apply an aloe vera gel or cream on the area affected by sunburn that will help a person to relieve pain and inflammation.
Anyone should use sunscreen of SPF 30 which contains aloe vera and help in protecting from UVB and UVA rays. Aloe vera lotion can also be used which provides about 90% relief from burning rays and about 75% from tanning rays and does not allow to reach the skin.
Anybody can take leaves from an aloe plant and keep it in refrigerator and take out the top layers of leaves and apply on the sunburn area. Besides that anybody can also apply aloe vera juice on mild and medium sunburn which helps in reducing the amount of peeling and pain. Sunburns make the skin wrinkled, so applying aloe vera will make the skin shiny, glowing, beautiful and wrinkle free.
