Is It Harmful for Health to Intake Excessive Amount of Caffeine?

Caffeine is a naturally occurring CNS stimulant found in tea, coffee, chocolates and some soft drinks.  Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, alleviate fatigue, increase wakefulness and alertness, improve concentration and focus. Usually for healthy adults, 200-300 milligrams of caffeine is tolerable or not harmful. But, more than this dose can result for a harmful effect. When the dose is above 700-800 milligrams, it may cause insomnia, restlessness, stomach discomfort, tachycardia, muscle tremors.

Lets see the negative effects of excessive intake of caffeine:
  • Caffeine is addictive. Once you have become accustomed to excessive dose of caffeine, the body begins to beg the momentum you have. If you don't allow caffeine to get adjust with your body, then you feel irritated, tired and depressed. 
  • Women who take excessive amount of coffee, tea and chocolate drink or chocolate, pre-menstrual syndromes may attack them acutely than woman who do not.
  • The people who have irritable bowel syndrome, ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, gastro-intestinal reflux may suffer from the negative effects of excessive amount of caffeine. Caffeine increases acidity of stomach and causes irritation of stomach.
  • People think that, coffee or tea is liquid,  it can hydrate the body. But, this imagination is wrong. Generally, the food stuffs containing caffeine linked with dehydration for diuretic properties of caffeine.
  • People who have panic disorders or anxiety disorders,  caffeine can do harm to them by increasing heart rate.  Besides that, the patients of hypertension and diabetes feel harmful effects when caffeine increases both blood pressure and blood sugar level.
  • Caffeine increases the body temperature, it is not intended to tell the body, unable to move, when and restful sleep. The body needs rest and when the body does not understand, only physical fatigue and emotional exhaustion goal lead.
I wanted to express just the bad effects of taking excessive amount of caffeine. It doesn't mean that caffeine is bad. Actually, caffeine is good for health when it is applied into right amount or right dose. Wish you a happy day.
